Space to Thrive Organizing Transformations

It's important to me that I'm not just gaining a place to do something, I'm gaining a place to grow in, to become more of who I really am. ... You're the impetuous to catch fire with. It would have been overwhelming without you to help me. I just would probably be still trying to do stuff in here, and the underpinning. ...the organizational underpinning wouldn't be there. The organization below the surface and in the cupboards and in my mind just supports what I am doing. ...

Not only do I know where to get what I want, I also know where to put it away, and that is probably as big as anything—to know where to put it away when I am finished with it because before I didn't know where to put it away. Everything is where I need it to be. The organization in this space spilled over to all areas of my house. The organization here creates a mindset and it just makes life much more pleasant, easier, more enjoyable. And certainly in this place, more creative. Because I can start a painting in a moment, without having to fuss, and when I am finished, I put it away. And my space is still open and creative, and full of light, instead of clutter. I would say, not only as an illusion, but that as a reality, it has doubled the space here.

I think that it helped improve the quality of my life... There was so much [stuff] that it felt like there was no solution. And once I could see the solution, which you helped me visualize and see the solution, then I could take off on my own. It is worth every bit of money and time and effort and your attention... It made a big difference.

My ‘aha’ moment came when I finally got it that organizing is not about trying to fit all of my stuff into a neat place, but about visualizing my ideal space, and then creating it. I saw that my need to be responsible for everything, including my clutter, was not helpful to me, and then was able to sift through things in an orderly fashion and let go of what isn't current for me. My thanks to Shirley, on many levels, for creating my meditation room, art room, sewing room, and reading/TV room as my personal space to thrive.

Shirley Oickle helped me to clarify my goals and emotionally confront my clutter. Her enthusiasm is catchy; I couldn't believe the progress that we made in 3 hours - I felt lighter! She gently inspired us to see our clutter for what it was and to make some hard decisions about it. Shirley brings her social work education and experience to the profession, which puts her head and shoulders above the rest.

Shirley O is the Queen of organizing! She used her magic to help us clear out and organize our basement and we had fun doing it too! The transformation is incredible. I highly recommend space to thrive to anyone looking for a genuine change in their life!
